Nissan Hyper Force Concept Debuts at Japan Mobility Show 2023

Earlier this week, at the Japan Mobility Show, Nissan pulled the curtain back on its latest marvel—the Nissan Hyper Force. This unveiling marks the culmination of a five-week-long campaign where Nissan introduced a new electric vehicle (EV) concept each week. The Hyper Force is the pièce de résistance in this series, embodying Nissan's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and electrified mobility.

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida emphasized that the Hyper Force and its sibling concepts are more than just vehicles; they're a testament to Nissan's pioneering spirit. "These concept cars are not just about mobility; they're about creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and exciting future for everyone," Uchida stated.

Performance Meets Sustainability

Designed to cater to both racing aficionados and eco-conscious consumers, the Nissan Hyper Force is an all-electric supercar that promises exhilarating performance without compromising on environmental sustainability. At its heart lies a high-output electric powertrain, supported by an all-solid-state battery capable of delivering up to 1,000 kW. This power is managed by Nissan's advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel control technology, ensuring rapid acceleration and precise handling.

The vehicle's exterior is a masterclass in aerodynamic design, developed in collaboration with the NISMO racing team. Its two-tiered aerodynamic structure and dual-level rear diffuser optimize airflow, while active aero elements like front canards and rear wing ends enhance grip and downforce. The result is a car that promises to be as agile on a winding road as it is on a racetrack.

Inside, the Hyper Force offers two distinct driving modes: "R" for racing and "GT" for grand touring. The cockpit's graphical user interface, developed in partnership with Polyphony Digital Inc., changes according to the selected mode, providing real-time data essential for the driving experience. In R mode, the cabin turns red and dashboard panels extend towards the driver, offering a race-centric environment. GT mode, on the other hand, offers a more relaxed, blue-lit cabin with an easy-to-navigate infotainment system.

Safety is a cornerstone of the Hyper Force concept. Equipped with hyper LIDAR and a suite of sensors fine-tuned for sporty driving, the car aims to set new standards in automotive safety. Additionally, the vehicle offers an augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experience, allowing drivers to hone their skills in both real and virtual worlds.

Beyond the Showroom

The Nissan Hyper Force is part of a broader vision that Nissan showcased at the Japan Mobility Show, which also marks the company's 90th anniversary. Alongside the Hyper Force, Nissan displayed a range of innovative vehicles and technologies aimed at making electrified mobility more accessible and connected.

Through collaborations with companies like Polyphony Digital Inc. and various artists, Nissan is not just building cars; it's crafting experiences that empower and excite, both in Japan and around the world.
